It is possible that it may have been the swarms of gnats that ate through the rope and rifled through Jules car.... I am the proud owner of at least 30 bites on my hands that make for good talk here in NYC - "oh the horror of it all - you camped out in springtime buggy woods instead of paraded with warriors and barbequed meat??? "

On the bright side, Jules has some really cool racing stripes on his back door from said K9 unit's claws - real sporty look for that van :)
(on a more serious note, Ii hope that it can be added to our legal case)

re the gathering... consensus was that we gather in mid to late august (Fri August 21 to Sun Aug 30 as per my recollection). We would also have a "scout council"/"losers gathering" (no offense intended) on July 4th in muscooggiee (sp)* New Hampshire, with the strong intent to have been scouting for a site in New Hampshire for the regional. 2 or 3 brothers offered to be scouting, so lets support them as best we can.

No serious talk of sending the kitchen to New Mexico. Some talk of Bill's Party in W Virginia. No way to try and hook up with Kathua this time around.

Aside from consensing on gathering in mid to late august, I also put out about getting more word out to get more Rainbows home...I can remember regionals with 500 -2000 people - having just a hundred or two is a sad utilization of the beautiful energy we create at our gatherings...Once when we put together a regional in Eugene, Or, we put up flyers in the local coffee shops and got more of a buzz going - just a thought that we could do more of something like that instead of just our word of mouth and email/web notices....

also, we didn't get the laminated hospital list to be on site, as per our other consensus in Woodstock...the talk was that we should be honoring what we agree to with the actions required...so by next council/gathering, lets get this one on paper???

finally, everyone marveled at an Erector set that brought back many memories and managed to keep 3 very well boys extremely occupied for hours upon hours :)

Remembering Peter Love, friendly and smiling and sincerely asking folks for their definition of Love and then seeing him play his guitar and singing songs to appreciating brothers and sisters...Now gone to the other side.

Remembering Innerstate Mike, a kind brother, serving hot-dogs next to main circle at the Big Ithica Regional a few years back...Now gone to the other side.

...Now remembered among the ancestors and existing in those who knew them as comforting memories..

THE THIRD CONSENSUS (from tg council 07) : in response to a discussion about what constitutes a "NERF" kitchen*....
*If NERF kitchen equipment and money from the NERF bank is being used to create a kitchen... it's a NERF kitchen. Or to put it another way...
"If the Nerf kitchen goes to a gathering, then the name of that kitchen is Nerf"..
